  • Can I drop by at any time for a school tour?

    Yes, we do welcome walk-ins. However, due to high demand for our program, tours are available by appointment. Scheduling an appointment allows us to dedicate time to show you our facilities and address all your questions and concerns. We are happy to answer general inquiries over the phone or by email.

  • Who should attend the school tour?

    It is essential for the primary decision-makers to visit the school. When possible, it is helpful for both parents to attend simultaneously with your child to ensure everyone feels confident in the decision.

  • Is there a waiting list?

    Depending on the age group, Montessori Academy of Virginia may have waitlists. Waitlists help ensure fairness in enrollment and safeguard the quality of education we provide.

  • How far in advance may I submit an application?

    Parents are encouraged to apply as early as possible. Early applications may help avoid long waitlists and allow more time for preparation.

  • What are the factors that determine my child’s placement?

    The placement of your child depends on several factors including availability,  age and development, teacher-student ratio, child readiness, to make each classroom well balanced. Our goal is to create equitable classrooms in terms of age, readiness, and gender of the children.

  • Is there a sibling discount?

    Yes, MAV offers a discount for the second child. Siblings attending the same campus foster a sense of continuity, community, and mutual support, benefiting both the children and their family.
