Are you interested in applying to the Montessori Academy of Virginia? We look forward to meeting you and getting to know your child.


We encourage all prospective parents to read this web site thoroughly, as most questions are answered in our detailed descriptions. After reading the Programs offered by MAV, the first step is to either schedule a tour online or call the location of your interest for an appointment.

Confirm Your Enrollment

Check your email for a confirmation and fill out the Pending Enrollment Application. Bring a hard copy to your appointment.

Submit Your Application

The Admissions Team will review each student’s application and take into consideration vacancies in existing classes including balancing of ages, genders, school transcripts, etc.

4.

Schedule a Morning Visit

At the Campus Director’s discretion, a "morning visit" for your child may be offered.

Check Your Application Status

Our Campus Director will make every effort to inform you as soon as possible regarding the status of your child’s application. Please understand that the school does not entertain phone calls regarding submitted applications.

Prepare for your Tour at MAV

To ensure a seamless tour experience, please see remember to arrive 5-10 minutes before your scheduled appointment.


  • The Campus Director will welcome you, walk you through the campus and explain our educational program. You will have a chance to observe classes in session through the viewing windows. Afternoon tours may not always feature a classroom lesson cycle.
  • The campus tour allows parents to gain first-hand experience of how classrooms work. Keep in mind there are no programs that exclusively fit every type of child. The Director will provide information on space availability per age group of their specific campus.
  • After your tour and upon acceptance of your child's application, the Director will set an appointment to discuss your financial obligations with the school and discuss the school contract.
